Navita has worked closely with key stakeholders including Corporate, Government, Policymakers, Thought Leaders, Media and International entities at various levels of engagement. She has a natural understanding of international dynamics and the policies in force nationally and globally that allow her to kick start conceptualizing, initiating and implementing key initiatives and engagements on a national and global template.
Navita has the analytical ability to look for ways to make improvements and help develop new ideas and initiatives to meet the organization’s objectives. Her strong abilities in research, project management, organizational and communication skills to balancing multiple competing projects and building key relationships has prepared Navita to excel in strategic advisory.
Navita’s long stint at India’s two premier Industry Associations, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), has given her considerable national and international experience and exposure in engaging with key stakeholders at various levels.
At CII, Navita led its North America, Latin America and Africa initiatives in India. Prior to that, at FICCI, she led Public Policy initiatives where she closely interfaced with Indian policymakers as well as lawmakers, Think Tanks, Academia, and Thought Leaders from various countries and as well as Civil Society.
She is experienced in leading and driving initiatives to promote trade and investments and excels at strengthening institutional linkages and policy initiatives.
She has assisted numerous companies in identifying markets in Africa, Latin America and North America and in mapping strategic partners to enable them to find business footprints and establish a global presence. In addition, she has assisted market facilitation for overseas companies and agencies looking to explore business opportunities in India.
Navita also worked with Bower Group Asia (BGA)- India, a leading US public Policy firm headquartered in Washington DC as its lead resource and was one of the main drivers of BGA’s strategic and business initiatives in India. In this role, she helped build clients’ government outreach strategy, both at the Central and State level. She also helped develop strategic initiatives for international clients to capitalize on the emerging opportunities and build their India growth story.
Navita is an M. Phil and Master in International Relations from Delhi University. She completed her graduation from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, Delhi University.
She is a recipient of the prestigious Jawaharlal Nehru Fellowship awarded by the Nehru Memorial Foundation and senior and junior Research Fellowship awarded by the University Grants Commission.
